Zak - Owner, Personal Trainer, & Nutrition Coach

Zak's been training clients for 15 years, 8 of which belong to his own studio, Focused Results. Zak attended school at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where he studied Kinesiology and earned his Masters in Business. Recognized by the American College of Sport Medicine (ACSM) as a Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Function Range and Conditioning Specialist, and Precision Nutrition Coach, Zak's dream and passion has been to own a personal fitness studio and help guide people through their fitness journey. 

Fun Fact: I played college baseball at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and then coached at University of Wisconsin Parkside for 2 years.

Andrew - Fitness Manager, Personal Trainer

Graduating with a B.A. in Exercise Science from North Central College, Andrew is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a: Personal Trainer, Postural Restoration Institute, and Corrective Exercise Specialist. He's also the Manager of Personal Training and has been with the Focused Results team for 6 years. Andrew became a trainer to help people reach their fitness goals and life goals. For Andrew, the greatest reward is helping someone do something they never thought they could! 

Fun Fact: I played baseball in college and semi-professionally. I can raise both eyebrows and wiggle both ears!

Mercedes - Personal Trainer, Yoga Instructor

Mercedes recieved her Master's degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a certified Personal Trainer from the American College of Sports Medicine; a Functional Range and Conditioning Specialist; and a certified Yoga Instructor. Mercedes aims to help clients achieve their health and fitness goals through an integrated approach all while making sure they have fun every step of the way. 

Fun Fact: Born and raised in Lake Bluff/Lake Forest. I dedicate most of my free time to my dog!

Kurt- Personal Trainer, Nutrition coach 

Kurt is one of our personal trainers who mixes the two most important aspects of fitness; training and nutrition. Kurt's expertise as a nutrition coach enables clients to improve their eating habits and see the results they've been working so hard for. Kurt graduated with a Bachelor's from Iowa State University and is currently attending Northeastern Illinois University to become a P.E./Health teacher!

Fun Fact: I'm from Minnesota, but I'm a Packer's fan.

 Natalie- Personal Trainer

Natalie graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Lake Forest College. She has her Personal Trainer certification through National Academy of Sports Medicine and certified as a Functional Range and Conditioning specialist. Natalie continues to find inspiration through expanding her education in corrective exercise. 

Fun Fact: I played rugby for Lake Forest College and Dunkin’ Donuts coffee is my weakness!

Scott - Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach 

Scott graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and Sports Studies with a concentration in Exercise Science. Scott continued his education by becoming a Poliquin Performance Specialist so he could best develop strength and conditioning programs for athletes. Scott's passion for understanding how to move well and pain free led him to Functional Anatomy Seminars. He then became a Functional Range Conditioning and Functional Range Assessment Specialist and has spent years teaching people how to move with purpose. Scott also has an extensive passion for what he puts in his body and has become a Precision Nutrition Coach in the process. Scott attended Culinary school early on in his collegiate career and almost made it a profession. 

Fun Fact: Scott has one of the longest femurs known to man.
